Massage Therapies
At Newbold Verdon Physiotherapy Clinic, we offer a range of massage therapies designed to promote relaxation, relieve pain, and restore movement. From gentle Swedish techniques to deeper Sports Massage and holistic Myofascial Release, our treatments are tailored to your individual needs.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage combines gentle sweeping movements with kneading, wringing, and lifting of the muscles. This technique is ideal when relaxation and stress relief are the primary goals, leaving you feeling restored and refreshed.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is a more vigorous, targeted therapy focusing on specific muscle groups. It uses deep tissue mobilisation, friction techniques, and sometimes specially designed tools (IASTM) to release scar tissue, adhesions, and muscle tightness. Sports Massage can also aid circulation, drainage, and the removal of exercise-related toxins, helping reduce soreness and enhance performance.
Structural Bodywork & Myofascial Release
Structural Bodywork and Myofascial Release offer a holistic, top-to-toe approach to restoring movement and balance in the body. Following a detailed assessment of posture and mobility, treatment uses slow gliding movements along muscle and fascia lines, combined with deeper pressure and guided movement to relieve stiffness and restriction.
This therapy is offered as part of our Balanced Body Programme, completed over a series of one-hour sessions. It is particularly effective for chronic pain, stiffness, and postural issues, improving flexibility, mobility, and overall function.
